Cobham is seeking an Operations Program Manager (OPM) to lead interactions between Operations, Supply Chain and customer / internal stakeholders, as well as support the management of proposals, contract reviews and contract changes. The OPM will support the Program Management team to meet program cost, schedule and technical objectives. The OPM will support customer interactions and program review sessions in coordination with internal team members to discuss cost, schedule and technical progress, status and issues. The OPM will manage multiple projects to deliver the agreed scope within planned quality, time and cost parameters to satisfy the specified requirements and drive for customer and stakeholder satisfaction. The position is located in Exeter, N.H.
Duties and Responsibilities
•Program management interface with operations to meet for build status and customer on-time delivery, as well as operations performance improvement initiatives
•Program management interface with supply chain for new vendor selections, status and customer on-time delivery, as well as supplier performance improvement initiatives
•Perform program critical path analysis, mitigate late delivery risks and optimize lead times to achieve on time delivery targets
•Track execution of program build plan/delivery plans to ensure on-time delivery and budget targets are met; initiate and track actions required to meet program schedules, budgets and overall objectives
•Coordinate interactions with program team stakeholders to develop, manage and close return to green plans
•Program management interface with supply chain and operations to ensure accurate and on-time proposal input
•Support customer communications for delivery status, issue resolution, return to green plans/progress and other assignments as needed
•Track engineering progress on assigned development programs to ensure cost and schedule baselines are met
•Initiate and contribute to program cost optimization and cost reduction initiatives
•Lead or support program risk management plans and mitigation actions
•Assist program managers when necessary with operational liaison support
•Support monthly site program reviews, EAC reviews, pipeline meetings and associated actions
•Partner with operation leads to resolve conflicts in day-to-day direction on program execution
•Support operations in development of capacity planning through production to identify resource gaps and develop solutions for assigned programs
•Provide oversight and review, track and submit weekly tracking reports for key customers
•Review and work with customers to resolve discrepancies on monthly scorecards
•Other duties as assigned
•Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field from a four-year college or university
•3+ years’ experience in program management and/or technical environment
•Experience with RF components and systems, both production and development programs
•Experience with government-funded programs
•Proven success of managing on-time/on-budget projects
•Drive, enthusiasm, initiative and a willingness to develop program management excellence.
•Strong proficiency in MS Project, PowerPoint and Excel is required
•PMP or equivalent Certification
•Agile development (scrum master, product owner, etc.) experience
•Risk Management training/certification
•Ability to thrive in a dynamic and high-velocity environment
•Demonstrated presentation and communication skills and comfort in presenting to a wide range of audiences
•Demonstrated interpersonal skills (communication, motivation, persuasion).
•Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
•Demonstrated leadership skills
