Cobham is seeking a Planner I that will plan, schedule, coordinate and track the flow of hardware and material throughout the manufacturing process, including fabrication, assembly, test and shipment; position controls jobs of moderate complexity with multi-level programs.  This individual must be organized and results driven with great problem solving and analytical skills.  This position is located in San Jose, CA.
Perform planning functions that support the manufacturing of products as scheduled on the build plan.

Key Responsibilities
•Fulfill demand requirements by examining MRP indications
•Communicate material availability to purchasing and ensure that they meet the need date to release production orders   
•Maintain configuration and serial control of production hardware.  Drives ECO/Router effectivity and ensures seamless revision transition.
•Ensures the generation of pick lists, packing slips, and other shipping document as required.
•Flag production problems and coordinate resolution through appropriate support and management personnel.
•Responsible for requesting CSI of hardware shipments 
•Write rework instructions for kit splits and routing changes
• Assure that planning data items are properly maintained in SAP, and are compatible with applicable program plans and schedules.
•Support production programs by working with the PMs and value Stream managers 
•Collaborate in team meetings and activities
•Participate in safety training and actively comply with safety policies and practices.

Minimum Requirements:
•Proven experience as production planner 2-3 years
•Experience in MRP
•Organizational, presentation and communication skills required.
•Intermediate Computer skills including Excel and Word
•USA Citizenship.


Preferred Qualifications: 

•Associates Degree
•Experience with Supply Chain concepts such as Purchasing, Logistics, etc.
•SAP experience.
