Cobham is seeking an Assembler III is located in the Integrated RF Solutions Value Stream. Responsibilities include the following
Participate in the setup process of the screen printer, MyData Pick-N-Place Machine, and reflow oven under the supervision of the lead operator.
SMT inspections of solder joints quality, part alignments, missing parts and monitoring results.
Performs hand solder operations under microscope in compliance with Mil-Specs, IPC 610 & 620, & J-STD-001 Class 3 requirements and/or Company standards at all stages of assembly.
Verifies results to ensure conformance with requirements and performs rework as needed.
Familiar with ESD procedures and ensure good organization and cleanliness of work bench and manufacturing areas.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
High School Diploma or GED preferred
2+ years’ electronic assembly experience
2+ years’ Surface Mount Technology Pick-N-Place Machine experience
2+ years’ SMT, thru-hole, and wire soldering skills and must successfully complete hands-on soldering training as required
In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires USA Citizenship.
Aerospace, defense or government contractor experience a plus
Experience with surface mount equipment and processes, conformal coating application, and/or wave solder equipment and processes
Ability to use hand tools
Basic computer skills
