Summary:
Repair, maintain and troubleshoot electrical or mechanical equipment
to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical
equipment used in the manufacturing process; dismantle, adjust,
repair and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints,
operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings; use test
and diagnostic equipment to perform checks; rebuild manufacturing
equipment as required; may perform equipment modifications as
directed by manufacturing engineers; performs work of moderate
complexity.
Essential Functions and Duties:
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on MIC
assembly equipment, including wire bonders, epoxy die-attach
machines, eutectic stations, pull testers, plasma cleaner,
parallel gap welders, hot plates, ovens, pick & place
machines, furnaces and other miscellaneous MIC assembly
equipment.
- Outsource repair work in specialty areas; maintain spare parts
inventory for MIC assembly equipment including service
documentation, MIC tooling, assembly equipment spare parts and
equipment storage; order spare parts and tools as necessary.
- Alter existing equipment and determine alternate uses for
equipment to improve and enhance results.
- Support process engineering through storage and filing of
equipment certification and Statistical Process Control chart
documentation.
- Uses tag out lock out and other safety processes and/or
procedures while working on manufacturing equipment.
- Participate in safety training and actively comply with safety
policies and practices; maintain a clean and safe workstation.
- Improve and maintain 5S in your area, make suggestions for
improvements.
- Participate in Lean/Six Sigma activities in own work area as
well as events for other areas to enhance cross-functional
problem solving.
- Collaborate in team meetings and activities, including SET
team support as appropriate.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Distinguishing Characteristics:
- Evaluate tools and equipment; repair non-MIC equipment such as
meters, electrical and mechanical devices;
- Support solder area temperature controller profiling and
repair.
Minimum Job Qualifications: (The following qualifications can
be acquired and demonstrated through experience, education and/or
vocational training as noted or as appropriate.)
- Four (4) years experience in performing repair and maintenance
of electro-mechanical equipment with good manual dexterity and
hand-eye coordination; MIC equipment maintenance and repair
experience, preferred; High School diploma or equivalent,
required; Certificate in Electronics or Electrical Mechanical
Repair, preferred; or, Associate of Arts degree in Electronics
or Electrical Mechanical Repair, a plus;
- Technical skills: ability to set up test equipment as defined
by a documented manufacturing and processes; crossed trained on
multiple types of equipment such as saws, lasers, ovens/furnaces
and pick and place machines;
- Communication skills: ability to receive messages by
telephone, in person, electronically and in writing; ask
questions and rephrase statements to clarify meaning; ability to
read, interpret and comprehend complex written and verbal;
communicate across organizational levels; ability to communicate
with quality, integrity and respect in a way that inspires
others and encourages innovation and possibilities; proficient
English reading level to understand technical terminology used
within the organization;
- Math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in
all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and
decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio and percent
- Computer skills: exposure to a networked environment using a
Windows and/or Windows like interface using Microsoft office
suite; ability to use Enterprise-wide information systems such
as SAP and drawing-viewing programs
- Time Management & Organizational skills: flexibility and
adaptability to changing priorities and assignments; ability to
maintain confidentiality;
- Excellence Behaviors: remain engaged, proactive
and positive even in tough circumstances; own assignments and be

Security:
- May be required to obtain and maintain security clearance,
which requires USA Citizenship.
