Cobham – San Jose is seeking
an Intern to support Mechanical Engineering. In
this internship, you will work in a highly motivated team to help support Mechanical
Engineering projects. This will be a 3-month summer
internship. Role is located in San Jose, CA and no
relocation will be provided.
Responsibilities:• Participates in the day to day activities of
assigned functional area, assist in the completion of engineering tasks.
•
Support experimental set ups and tests related to mechanical design, process
and manufacturing.
•
Assist in applying mechanical knowledge to analyze, investigate and resolve
problems.
•
Work with mechanical engineers to design, document, and update mechanical parts
and fixtures.
•
Aid in the converting of legacy files (2D) into 3D models and verify accuracy
of existing 3D models.
Minimum
Requirements: • Junior or Senior year pursuing a Bachelor’s
degree in Mechanical Engineering.
•
Cumulative GPA of 3.0
• Experience with 3D modeling software (preferably
SolidWorks) and a 2D CAD package such as DraftSight or AutoCAD.
•
Must show definite interest and desire to work on mechanical related problems
and improvements in a manufacturing environment.
•
Ability and desire to work hands-on in a team environment is necessary.
•
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are required to work
with a wide variety of people.
• Ability to provide proof
of US Citizenship and/or US Permanent Residency required.
